Heather Clark, Flute
Heather Clark has established herself as one of Los Angeles' most sought after flute players.
Her orchestral resume includes present and past positions as principal flute with the LA Opera Orchestra, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Pacific Symphony, and the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra. During her career in Los Angeles, she has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and numerous other Los Angeles regional orchestras.
She is also a regular in Hollywood's recording studios and can be heard on hundreds of major motion picture soundtracks including Rio, Life of Pi, and Frozen. Her resume includes working with the finest film composers including John Williams, Danny Elfman and James Horner. In addition, she has worked with a variety of recording artists including Barbra Streisand, Josh Grobin, Flea, Michael Buble and Carrie Underwood.
In 1994, Ms. Clark was awarded first prize in the National Flute Association's Young Artist Competition.
In addition to her performing career, she has become a leader in teaching audition skills. She was a pioneer in creating Flute Audition Bootcamp, specializing in preparing students mentally and technically for their auditions. She teaches at California State University Northridge.
Susan Greenberg, Flute, Piccolo
Flutist Susan Greenberg enjoys a versatile career as soloist, chamber musician, symphony player, and recording artist. The Los Angeles Times has described her playing as “brilliant,” “elegant” and “supple.” She was a member of the LA Chamber Orchestra for 36 years, where she was a frequent soloist on both flute and piccolo and even alto flute. She has also appeared as guest soloist with the San Francisco and Oakland Symphonies, the Santa Monica Symphony, the Napa Valley Symphony, and at the Hollywood Bowl. She has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, L.A. Opera, New York City Opera, American Ballet Theater, Joffrey Ballet, as well as at the Casals, Ojai and Martha's Vineyard Music Festivals. Ms. Greenberg was the principal flutist for the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra's tour of Japan, and has received the "Most Valuable Player" award on the flute from the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences. She received both her B.A., cum laude, and her M.A. from UCLA, and is presently the flute professor at Pepperdine University. Ms. Greenberg is principal flute with the Santa Monica Symphony, the Vicente Chamber Orchestra and the Westside Chamber Orchestra. She is also the Artistic Director of Chamber Music Palisades, now celebrating its 28th season. Ms. Greenberg has recorded for over 500 motion pictures and many television shows.
Sarah Weisz, Flute
A native of Southern California, Sarah Weisz has been a long standing member of the LA Opera Orchestra, the Pasadena Symphony and the Los Angeles Master Chorale Sinfonia. During the summer she enjoys playing outdoor concerts with the Pasadena Pops. Sarah previously worked for many years in the recording industry with such notable composers as John Williams, Alan Menken and James Horner.
